MadCap ?
MadCap is a complete real-time tracking solution for any cycling adventure. It consists of an app and a GPS device that work together. Rather than a long explanation, the best way to understand MadCap is to see it in action :
Our app
Recognizing that we rarely embark on multi-day adventures with a 16-inch laptop mounted on the handlebars, we have developed a mobile app just for you and your beautiful bike. For those at home, they can enjoy the web app on a large screen.
Both the mobile and web app are free and accessible to everyone.
The GPS device (or tracker)
The GPS unit works in conjunction with the app. The GPS unit, not your phone, records your position at regular intervals and transmits this information to our servers and subsequently to the app.
Therefore, the tracking does not require your phone to function; it can operate independently even if your phone is in airplane mode or turned off to save battery. Of course, if you want to see your position, you need to turn off airplane mode and open the app. The app is used by you and your loved ones to to follow your adventure at any time.
Our users
We work with adventure organizers who want real-time tracking of their participants. We offer a simple solution for cyclists and adventurers who want to be tracked by their loved ones. And for those at the office or on the couch—commonly known as Dotwatchers—the madcap app is an immersive experience to follow the progress of friends and family on their adventures.

Create your favorites list, share your tracking link with loved ones, find yourself on the map with a single click, easily rewind time, switch between groups using the filter system at the bottom of the screen, generate a 3D view to see elevation changes, and much more (yes, really).
Who are we?
Sam and Hugo :) We are both participants in events like TCR, Three Peaks Bike Race, North Cape, and also organizers of cycling events such as the Big Fat Ride in Paris. In addition to this, we are developers and engineers. To bring the MadCap project to life, we have surrounded ourselves with other ultra event organizers, various types of dotwatchers, and cyclists to create a finely tuned tool that satisfies all users, whether they're at home on their couches or out on their bikes. MadCap is our creation, and we are the developers who will continue to significantly evolve it over time. We collaborated with Victor Bouscavet, a renowned designer and ultra cyclist and friend, to design this exciting project.
